The journey continues...

Leaving Chefchaouen you follow a windy road, through the Rif Mountains, passing villages and olive groves. Past the town of Tetouan and on to the Mediterranean Coast...
grains of sand...broken seashells...
and freezing water...they can’t resist....
Turn westwards near the Spanish Enclave of Ceuta and follow the windy road passing Djebel Musa, from where you can see right across the strait to Spain, on a clear day you can see Gibraltar, also known as Djebel Tariq. Legend has it that these two mountains form what are known as the Pillars of Hercules, however there are also claims that it is indeed Monte Hacho in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta that is the other pillar and not Djebel Musa.....a dispute that no doubt will continue between the Moroccans and the Spanish forever....
The road then winds its way down to the fishing port of Ksar es-Sighr where the sea is as blue as the little fishing boats on the beach....
The street is lined with restaurants serving fresh fish, simply cooked for a wonderful lunch....
Some giant clams in a garlicky broth.....
An after lunch camel ride on the beach for anyone?
Have a wonderful week!
